Day Fifty One- oh my!

Writing is becoming a challenge however creativity is peaking.

The reason writing is becoming a challenge is still because of TIME. I have engrossed myself in so many other outlets, and now find myself juggling mere moments to put pen to paper.

Yikes.

The scale weighs in now. I said I would attempt to master or learn a new skill to develop my creative juices, and true to my word I have been.

Not necessarily a new skill, but I have tapped into a very dormant pastime and re-developed it. Painting, sketching, creating. I even went as far as to open my own store on Etsy; TheRedPalette.

Call me crazy bananas. I’m reaching out; not saying NO and not saying I can’t. I stopped the nonsense and decided to give myself a chance.

While I am not Van Gogh, I am Markella and I, like so many, am constantly learning and mastering.

This art process has generated a whole fleet if ideas for my writing, words that never flowed before have taken shape in my mind as I have painted and sketched.

Writing. Not on the back burner but increasing in force.

Cannot wait to dive in even further and see what I’m made of.

Words will be full of color and passion.

Here goes.

About markella

I am a freelance writer with a creative flare for life. I see inspiration in all that I encounter and have a thirst for knowledge, life, running, cooking, being outdoors, my incredible family and of course taking pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. I spend much of my time as a student in life, learning from kids and all the wonder that surrounds us. I believe in always asking questions, even when nobody else will. l love the bountiful Okanagan Valley, where I call home and anticipate each season, as creativity and inspiration take their form all over the place here. I love the clinche saying, "You've made your bed, now lie in it." I believe we create our paths and determine our futures. Maya Angelou puts it simple and exact, " Be present in all things and thankful for all things."
